The mining company has initiated a new phase of exploration at its Diablillos project in Argentina, featuring a 20,000-meter drilling program. Additionally, it presented the project’s progress to the Catamarca government and announced its intention to invest US$550 million under the RIGI framework.

Buenos Aires, March 2025 – The Argentina International Mining Exhibition will take place from May 20 to 22 at the La Rural Exhibition Center in Buenos Aires, with record figures: over 300 exhibitors and 20,000m² of exhibition space, the participation of all mining provinces, and 15 international delegations.

Among sapphires, rare earths, and geothermal energy, these are some of the various mineral deposits, some of which could represent economic interest in the future.

The decree establishes the cession of assets and rights to CAMYEN S.E., which will assume full administration of the mine after a six-month transition period.

With the aim of strengthening infrastructure in the provincial border region, the Government of Catamarca announced the start of the paving of Provincial Route No. 43 in April, along with the progress of the construction of the new hospital in Antofagasta de la Sierra. Both projects are financed through the mining trust fund of the Salar del Hombre Muerto.

Astra Exploration Inc. announced that it has received all required permits to commence its maiden drill program at the La Manchuria Project located in the Deseado Massif of Santa Cruz province.

Kobrea Explorations announced aerial studies on its properties in Malargüe and prioritizes El Perdido as the project where they will focus their initial efforts.

The mapping scale will be increased in the hydrothermal gap in the northeastern area of Cerro Apero. Additional information will also be gathered while negotiating with two parties interested in joining the project.

Lithium Argentina AG has released its fourth-quarter and full-year 2024 results, highlighting key operational and financial milestones at its Cauchari-Olaroz project, which has become Argentina’s largest lithium carbonate operation.
