A few days prior to Expo San Juan Minera 2020, Argentina’s main federal mining exhibition, Panorama Minero has defined all the activities that will take place online from October 21 to 23. This Wednesday, October 21, the eight edition of the traditional Expo San Juan Minera will be inaugurated in virtual mode, moving to a digital platform due to the pandemic-related context. For this special edition, the Expo will feature virtually modeled stands of suppliers and mining companies, online business rounds, live conferences, and personalized meetings to connect the entire industry and keep commercial, institutional, and business relationships active.

Expo San Juan Minera 2020 expects strong participation from representatives of mining companies and international participants, as well as the distinguished presence of Dr. Sergio Uñac, San Juan Governor, Mark Bristow global CEO of Barrick Gold, the International Council on Mining and Metals (ICMM), the Sustainable Minerals Institute (SMI) and the exclusive participation of journalist Luis Novaresio, as moderator in the Cycle of Master Talks, who will keep a dialogue about the current situation with public and private officials. International participation: delegations from Argentina, Australia, Bolivia, Canada, Colombia, Chile, Ecuador, France, Italy, Peru, Poland and the United Kingdom will be present.

Mark Bristow’s starring conference of the International Seminar: Argentina Gold and Silver, will be on October 21. He will give his perspectives on the mining business and Veladero current situation. On October 22, Luis Novaresio will moderate a dialogue with Alberto Hensel ( National Mining Secretary), Alberto Carlocchia (CAEM President), Marcelo Alvarez (Barrick Gold), M. Eugenia Sampalione (Newmont Argentina), YPF, Shell and Sandvik, on the present and future of the sector and the growth possibilities existing in the industry. On October 23, Cochilco, CRU and the main companies with copper projects in Argentina will give their perspectives on the copper market and close the Expo San Juan Minera 2020 with information and key content for this sector of high national interest. An important inclusion and gender agenda, headed by Women in Mining Argentina and International Women in Mining (IWiM), will be held simultaneously on October 22- 23.

The exhibition of stands with products and services for the mining industry will be available during the three-days fair, 24:00hs, whereas the schedule for business development will be from 11:00 to 20:00.
