The Government of San Juan announced the appointment of Natalia Marchese as the new president of the Provincial Institute of Mining Exploration and Exploitation (IPEEM). The decision was made by Governor Marcelo Orrego, as part of an institutional renewal aimed at strengthening the mining management in the province.

Marchese holds a degree in Geology and has more than 25 years of experience in the mining sector. Her career has focused on project evaluation and public management, "standing out for her commitment to sustainable mining development," said the local government. Her appointment aims to consolidate the progress made in recent years and project a strategic management that enhances the sector's growth in San Juan, they added.

From the Ministry of Mining, led by Minister Juan Pablo Perea, a special recognition was given to Eduardo Machuca, who had been at the helm of IPEEM until the recent appointment.

During his tenure, policies were promoted to strengthen mining exploration and foster the sustained growth of the sector," Perea noted.

With this renewal, the Government of San Juan reaffirms its commitment to efficient and sustainable mining, ensuring institutional continuity and strengthening policies that promote the strategic development of the activity in the province. Marchese's assumption marks the beginning of a new stage for IPEEM, focused on consolidating the achievements made and facing future challenges with an integrated and sustainable vision.
