Christoph Dammer, representative of the organization, explained that the association brings together German manufacturers of mining equipment and technology, offering solutions applied to exploration, underground and surface mining, mineral processing, and copper production.
According to Dammer, German technological solutions are focused on improving operational efficiency and reducing environmental impact throughout all stages of the mining cycle.
The organization explained that its associated companies develop equipment and solutions for different phases of mining activity, from the earliest exploration drilling campaigns through mineral processing operations.
Dammer also noted that Germany continues to export mining technology developed through decades of industrial experience and emphasized that these solutions are already operating in various projects across the Andean region, particularly in Chile and Peru.
The VDMA representative stated that San Juan currently appears as one of the main areas of interest for international suppliers linked to mining due to the progress of large-scale metalliferous projects.
He also highlighted the current scenario of Argentine mining and stated that the industry is experiencing a level of momentum different from what had been observed in previous years, driven by projects that have begun accelerating their development stages.
In this context, he mentioned that the organization is maintaining discussions related to future business opportunities with mining initiatives advancing in the province, including copper-related projects.
During the exhibition, the association presented the technological offering of German manufacturers specialized in mining, infrastructure, and mineral processing.
According to the organization, the exhibition provided an opportunity to observe the growth of mining activity in Argentina and the increasing interest from international suppliers and companies in the development of projects in San Juan.
