Volvo Trucks Argentina celebrated three decades of the FH model with the launch of a special limited edition that combines innovation, exclusive design, and high performance.

The unveiling event took place on June 24 and 25 at the Campo de Mayo airfield in the Buenos Aires province, marking the official arrival of this commemorative edition to the local market. The first day was dedicated to the specialized press, while the second day was reserved for meeting with customers.
Originally, the company had planned to offer 30 units of the FH 30-Year Edition in Argentina, but due to high demand, more units were acquired. The available versions include the FH 500 6x2 T, FH 540 6x4 T, and FH 500 4x2 T—the latter added exclusively for the Argentine market.
A Legacy of Innovation
With over 200,000 units sold in Brazil since its launch in 1994, the FH has become a benchmark in technology and efficiency. “It’s a truck that revolutionized transport with its advanced electronics, safety features, and low fuel consumption. Even today, it continues to lead with innovations such as artificial intelligence and connectivity systems,” stated Volvo representatives.
Exclusivity and Features
The 30-Year Edition stands out with its exclusive metallic red color, premium design details, and cutting-edge technology. Key features include camera-based mirrors that enhance visibility, the new-generation I-See system (which anticipates curves and optimizes fuel efficiency), and the Pilot Assist system, which takes control of the truck in case the driver faints or suffers a medical issue. Last but not least, the special edition also comes equipped with a microwave in the cabin.
Unstoppable Evolution
Over its 30-year history, the Volvo FH has marked technological milestones that redefined heavy transport. Its first generation (1994) introduced onboard electronics—a revolutionary leap at the time—along with ABS brakes and an ergonomic cab that set new comfort standards. In 2003, the I-Shift transmission was launched, eliminating the clutch pedal and automating gear changes. By 2010, Volvo solidified its leadership in safety with systems like electronic stability control (ESP) and autonomous emergency braking (ACC2).
The past decade has deepened its focus on connectivity and efficiency. In 2015, the I-See system optimized fuel consumption by adapting gear shifts to the terrain. By 2021, the cab became fully digital with customizable screens and intelligent LED headlights. The 2023 version reduced emissions and cut fuel consumption by 8%. In addition, the 7th generation of the I-Shift gearbox delivered gear changes 30% faster, reinforcing the balance between power and efficiency.
Today, the 30-Year Edition embodies this legacy—from the first electronic engines to the artificial intelligence that now anticipates curves and reads traffic signs. A truck born out of innovation that continues to lead the industry.
With this limited edition, Volvo reaffirms its commitment to efficient and safe transport, now with a uniquely Argentine touch of exclusivity. “It’s not just a truck—it’s a symbol of what Swedish engineering can achieve,” the brand concluded.
