As part of its initiatives aimed at strengthening local communities in Iglesia, Minera Sud Argentina has been developing training programs for young people and adults in the department for several years. These initiatives seek to promote technical and digital education through innovative tools and practical knowledge that contribute to expanding personal and professional development opportunities.

One of the company’s longest-running programs is Robotics and Programming, which is now entering its third consecutive year and involves more than 30 children and teenagers in ongoing training. Through the use of Arduino technology and various educational tools, participants acquire knowledge related to programming, electronics, automation, and logical thinking.

This year, the program also incorporated a new Digital Design training component, adding a creative dimension to its technological curriculum. The initiative aims to broaden learning opportunities and encourage the development of new skills among participating youth.

At the same time, the company continues to support an annual Residential Electrical Systems program, which has already trained more than 30 community members. The continuity of this initiative reflects the objective of creating practical opportunities for vocational training by providing skills that can be applied both in the workplace and in personal projects and everyday activities.

These actions are part of a long-term strategy focused on supporting community growth through education and continuous training. In this context, the emphasis on technological education responds not only to the competencies currently required by the mining industry, but also to skills that are increasingly valued across a wide range of productive and service sectors.

Through these initiatives, the company seeks to help more young people and adults access new professional development opportunities without having to leave their communities, strengthening local roots and supporting the sustainable growth of the communities of Iglesia.
