With the goal of continuing to strengthen local capacities and renewing its commitment to education, the Los Azules project has launched the 4th edition of its Community Education Program (Programa Educativo en Comunidades – PEC), developed in partnership with contractor companies from San Juan.

This technical training initiative is open to Calingasta residents over the age of 18 who want to build skills in trades and competencies that improve their employability.

Speaking on the program, Los Azules' Sustainability Manager, Mario Hernández, noted: "Creating educational opportunities in Calingasta is one of the most tangible ways we can contribute to the community's development. The first edition graduated 326 people; the second, 894; and the third, 713. This year, we're aiming to surpass those numbers and keep expanding the PEC's reach among local residents."

This edition includes the companies Rehabilitar, Caterwest, Chiconi, DAMS, Servicios Sánchez, HG Perforaciones, MPC, Century, and Fundación YPF, which will offer the following courses: Generator Set Maintenance; Lifesaving, CPR, and First Aid; Drone Operation (Level 2); 4x4 Driving (Level 2); Surveying (Level 2); Pastry Techniques; Residential Electrical Wiring; AutoCAD; Well Geophysics; and Renewable Energy.

The program is part of Los Azules' broader community engagement efforts and aims to create real opportunities for personal and professional growth for Calingasta residents.

Those interested and eligible — residents of the Calingasta department over 18 years of age — can contact the Community Relations team at +54 9 2644 18-5275, or visit in person Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., at the offices on Aberastain Street s/n (between Juan Jufré and Av. Argentina), Villa Calingasta, or at 184 Soler Street, Barreal.

From Investment to Market: Jujuy Will Bring Together the Lithium Industry's Key Players in October

The lithium industry enters 2026 with a different conversation than the one that defined the years of accelerated expansion. At the same time, the growth of energy storage is adding a new demand vector, and competition over supply chains keeps lithium on the strategic agenda of the world's leading economies.
