As part of the fourth edition of the Fondo Impulso Emprendedor Program 2025, Glencore Pachón announced the 25 finalist projects selected in this new call.

By Panorama Minero

The call is aimed at strengthening the local productive ecosystem of the Calingasta department, in San Juan Province. The company will invest a total of ARS 62.5 million to support the projects through the provision of equipment or materials.

Following the publication of the program’s guidelines last October, the evaluation and selection process for participating ventures was carried out between November and December. As a result, 25 local projects from different towns across the department were selected.

“The main objective of the Fondo Impulso Emprendedor Program is to promote the development and strengthening of productive and service-based ventures that generate employment and income for participants, through the provision of materials or equipment and access to personalized mentoring to strengthen entrepreneurs’ business skills,” said María Eugenia Basualdo, Community Relations Leader at Glencore Pachón.

The program is especially targeted at artisans, small producers, families, and groups of entrepreneurs who carry out—or wish to carry out—productive and service activities and who are based in Calingasta.

One of the program’s key strengths is the mentoring process received by entrepreneurs, which extends over six months and includes technical guidance, on-site visits to the ventures, and individualized work with specialists in areas such as finance, production, sales, and communication. This support aims to empower entrepreneurs while providing them with essential tools and knowledge to scale and strengthen their businesses.

Since its first edition, the program has benefited 89 ventures, consolidating itself as a key initiative for local development and reaffirming Glencore Pachón’s commitment to the economic, social, and productive growth of communities throughout the department.
