At Government House, Governor Raúl Jalil received AbraSilver’s senior executives to learn about progress at the Diablillos project, located in the interprovincial cooperation area between Catamarca and Salta in the Puna region. The delegation was headed by CEO John Miniotis; Executive Chair Marie Inkster; COO Jeremy Weyland; and Country Manager Eugenio Ponte. Also participating in the meeting at Government House were Minister of Mining Teresita Regalado, Minister of Government, Security and Justice Alberto Natella, and members of the Board of Directors of Catamarca Minera y Energética (CAMYEN).

Technical and Economic Feasibility Stage
AbraSilver representatives reported that the Diablillos project is advancing through its technical and economic feasibility stage. Within this framework, they stated that the work is aimed at precisely defining how the mine will be built, including the design of the works, refined estimates of costs and schedules, and planning of the camp where workers will live during construction and the future operation of the mine.
Modular structures are being evaluated for the camp due to the site’s high-altitude location, remoteness and limited available infrastructure. This detailed planning will help optimize operating costs and living conditions in the Puna region.
Employment Generation Impact
One of the main anticipated impacts of the project is related to employment generation. During the construction stage, around 1,400 people are expected to be hired, while once Diablillos enters operation, approximately 600 permanent jobs are expected. This level of direct employment will have a multiplier effect on the local and regional economy through demand for services and supplies.
Annual Production and Mine Life
Diablillos contemplates a mine life of more than 20 years and is one of the world’s most significant undeveloped primary silver projects. During its first years, the project contemplates average annual production of 20 million ounces of silver equivalent, comprising 14 million ounces of silver and 89,000 ounces of gold.
Expansion Potential and New Opportunities
The project has significant growth potential. Against this backdrop, AbraSilver is simultaneously advancing studies aimed at evaluating project expansions and new development opportunities in the Catamarca-Salta Puna region, further enhancing Diablillos’ value as a strategic long-term mining asset.
