Australian junior mining company Unico Silver Limited reported assay results from 46 drill holes totaling 6,631 metres at the Joaquin project, located in the Deseado Massif in Santa Cruz Province.
By Panorama Minero
Highlights reported by Unico Silver include:
-
Hole JDD276-26: 52.3 metres grading 378 g/t AgEq (silver equivalent), consisting of 3.3 g/t Au (gold) and 100 g/t Ag (silver), including 8.5 metres grading 1,813 g/t AgEq.
-
The mineralization is located 50 metres below the discovery drill hole (hole JDD028-25), confirming that gold grades increase at depth.
-
Breccia Puntudo confirmed high-grade gold mineralization suitable for conversion from Inferred to Indicated resources.
-
La Negra SE continues to extend mineralization below and along the current resource.
-
Additional notable results outside the mineral resource include:
-
Hole JDD240-26: 78 m grading 137 g/t AgEq from 91 metres, including 10.1 metres grading 467 g/t AgEq from 133.2 metres.
-
Hole JDD267-26: 74.2 m grading 94 g/t AgEq from 1.8 metres, including 11.5 metres grading 210 g/t AgEq from 57 metres.
Drilling exploration has been temporarily completed, and work is now focused on Prefeasibility activities, including geotechnical studies, Phase 2 environmental studies, and hydrogeological investigations.
Managing Director Todd Williams highlighted that the results support resource growth beyond the current Mineral Resource Estimate (167 Moz AgEq / 123 Moz silver and 521,000 oz. gold).
The results reported by Unico Silver Limited bring the total since September 2025 to 268 drill holes and 38,661 metres.
