As part of the electoral process of the Chamber of Mining Suppliers of Salta (CAPEMISA), the official launch of the Renewal List took place on Wednesday, April 22. This group positions itself as an alternative aimed at driving changes in the representation and conditions of local suppliers.
The list is led by Gabriel Estrada as president and Romina Visentini as vice president, supported by a committee made up of Salta-based suppliers who highlight their previous experience working together. According to their statements, this team arises both from a sector need and from an ongoing process of collaboration among peers to improve contracting conditions with mining companies and projects.
The Renewal List states that it is prepared to take on this new challenge, with a proposal based on strengthening the relationship between the chamber, institutions, and suppliers. In this regard, they outline a management plan structured around three main pillars:
-
The first focuses on organizing suppliers by sector, with the aim of building more strategic relationships and facilitating engagement with key players in the mining industry.
-
The second pillar centers on transparent communication of tenders, promoting clearer and more equitable access to contracting opportunities.
-
Finally, the third pillar proposes fostering supplier development and growth by providing tools and institutional support to enhance their competitiveness in meeting industry demands.
The list also emphasizes the defense of Salta-based suppliers and the promotion of “buy local” policies. In this regard, they stress the need to review current conditions, arguing that equal opportunities for local companies are not always guaranteed in selection processes.
The elections will take place on April 29 at the COPAIPA headquarters, located at Zuviría 291, where chamber members will be able to choose the proposal they consider most representative for the future of the sector.
