With this integration, mining suppliers took a new step toward their consolidation within Salta’s productive framework, while the Council adds the representation of more than 300 local firms, companies that invest in the province, generate employment and actively participate in value chains linked to mining activity.
From the Chamber, representatives highlighted that “this incorporation strengthens a strategy aimed at improving competitiveness, promoting private investment and consolidating the growth of the formal sector in the province.”
“The integration is part of a sustained institutional effort that CAPEMISA has been developing in recent years, promoting technical working groups and spaces for dialogue with mining companies in operation and in development stages,” they indicated. These instances are aimed at aligning standards, requirements and contracting opportunities, with the objective of strengthening the integration of Salta-based suppliers into projects related to lithium, borates and industrial minerals.
Another relevant axis has been territorial work in Salta’s Puna region, promoting the integration of local and regional suppliers into the mining value chain, as well as coordination with municipalities and provincial agencies to improve logistics capabilities, services and local employment in areas of direct project influence.
On the institutional front, the Chamber maintains a permanent agenda of coordination with the Government of Salta, through agreements and its participation in public private working tables related to mining, production and economic development. Within this framework, CAPEMISA collaborates on initiatives aimed at promoting local procurement, SME training and the generation of skilled employment.
In dialogue with Panorama Minero, representatives of CAPEMISA stated that “integration into the Business and Productive Council represents another step toward fully joining Salta’s productive framework and ensuring that the voice of suppliers is heard,” in a context of strong dynamism in the provincial, national and international mining sector.
The entity also reaffirmed its commitment to continue working jointly with other business chambers and the State, with the aim of promoting policies that provide predictability, encourage investment and enhance the economic impact of mining across Salta’s territory.
