Argenta Silver reported new results from its metallurgical testwork program at the El Quevar project, in Salta Province. Primary flotation tests conducted on 15 representative samples from the Yaxtché deposit recorded silver recoveries of up to 99%, while two samples advanced to cleaning stages and achieved recoveries ranging from 91% to 96%.
The company also highlighted the rapid flotation kinetics observed in several of the samples.
In this regard, Joaquín Marias emphasized that “the initial metallurgical results from Yaxtché are outstanding and encouraging. We are very excited about what the final concentrate products and metallurgical results could show over the next 45 to 60 days,” said the President and Chief Executive Officer.
Next Stage
The testwork is being conducted by Blue Coast Research on samples selected to represent the spatial and mineralogical variability of the Yaxtché deposit.
One of the objectives of the next phase will be to establish the characteristics of the final concentrates, including their silver, lead, zinc and copper contents, as well as the presence and variability of minor or potentially deleterious elements.
Argenta estimates that the remaining metallurgical program will take approximately 45 to 60 days.
El Quevar Expands Its Exploration Program
The metallurgical results come as Argenta continues its exploration program at El Quevar. Since May 2025, the company has reported more than 25,500 metres drilled in 89 drill holes and expanded the program to 45,000 metres, with two rigs dedicated to resource expansion and the exploration of new targets.
The project covers approximately 57,000 hectares in Salta and its principal mineralized asset is the Yaxtché deposit, with an Indicated Mineral Resource of 45.3 Moz of silver.
The company highlights that the property has exceptional infrastructure, including more than 100 km of internal roads, a fully owned and fully operational camp with capacity for 100 workers and multiple support buildings, as well as a railway line, a gas pipeline and a service road located only 3 km from the camp, while a high-voltage transmission line is located approximately 20 km from the exploration area. According to the company, the project’s strong infrastructure provides a low-cost platform to de-risk and accelerate future drilling and development.
