Aldebaran Resources announced the final results of the 2025-2026 campaign. The program will provide information for the resource update planned for 2026 and the Pre-Feasibility Study (PFS) scheduled for 2027.

Aldebaran Resources reported results from the final holes of the 2025-2026 infill and geotechnical drilling campaign at the Altar copper-gold project, located in the Calingasta department, in the province of San Juan.

Among the main results, hole ALD-26-260 intersected 1,728.9 metres at 0.45% copper equivalent (CuEq), from a depth of 141 metres. The interval includes 756 metres at 0.68% CuEq, from a depth of 965 metres, and an 88-metre interval at 0.84% CuEq, from 1,211 metres.

In terms of individual grades, the 1,728.9-metre interval returned 0.41% copper, 0.03 g/t gold and 1.34 g/t silver, while the 756 metres at 0.68% CuEq contain 0.61% copper, 0.03 g/t gold and 2.12 g/t silver.

The campaign was aimed at converting resources currently classified as Inferred into the higher-confidence Measured and Indicated categories, as well as providing information for geotechnical studies. The company clarified that some of the reported holes were drilled exclusively for geotechnical purposes in areas corresponding to the final pit walls, where significant intersections of mineralization were not expected.

Other Results from the Campaign

Aldebaran also reported results from four other holes. ALD-26-266 returned 918.8 metres at 0.62% CuEq from a depth of 59 metres, including 302 metres at 0.76% CuEq and, within this interval, 212 metres at 0.83% CuEq.

For its part, hole ALD-26-265 intersected 901 metres at 0.47% CuEq from 249 metres, including 781 metres at 0.52% CuEq and a 196-metre interval at 0.73% CuEq.

In hole ALD-26-269, results reached 940.7 metres at 0.49% CuEq from a depth of 63 metres, including 165 metres at 0.80% CuEq and another 227 metres at 0.60% CuEq. Meanwhile, hole ALD-26-271 returned 841.9 metres at 0.54% CuEq, including 253 metres at 0.73% CuEq.

Toward a New Resource Estimate

John Black, CEO of Aldebaran Resources, highlighted the extent of the mineralization recorded in hole ALD-26-260 and noted that the company will incorporate into the upcoming resource update more than 40,000 metres of drilling completed at the main Altar deposit since the last resource estimate in late 2024.

Approximately 30,000 metres drilled at the Pórfido Radio target, adjacent to the main deposit and which to date has not been incorporated into a mineral resource estimate, will be added to that total.

“A mineralized interval of more than 1.7 kilometres in a single hole highlights the enormous scale of the Altar system,” Black said, adding that the resource update planned for 2026 will seek to reflect the scale and growth potential of the project ahead of the Pre-Feasibility Study (PFS), which is scheduled for completion in 2027.

Kevin B. Heather, Chief Geological Officer of Aldebaran, noted that the final results from the campaign continue to show long intervals of copper mineralization. He explained that while awaiting these final assays, the company advanced the refinement of the geological and geotechnical models that will serve as the basis for the upcoming resource estimate and the pre-feasibility study.

Aldebaran holds an 80% interest in the Altar project, which comprises multiple copper-gold porphyry deposits. The latest mineral resource estimate was published in November 2024, while in October 2025 the company announced a Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA) for the project.

Jujuy will be the capital of lithium for two days: the global industry prepares for a key event

Just two days remain until Jujuy once again becomes one of the main gathering points for the international lithium industry. On Wednesday 7 and Thursday 8 October, Panorama Minero will hold the 15th edition of Lithium in South America, a conference that has tracked the sector's growth since 2011 and that this year will bring together representatives of the companies leading Argentine production, projects under development, governments, international organizations, analysts, scientists, suppliers and leaders from the main consumer markets.
