Representatives from both offices visited the mining projects, carrying out aquifer control.

Teams from the Mining Inspection and Control Directorate and the Hydraulic Directorate recently visited the Veladero Mine and the Lama Project to conduct an inspection of areas of interest where both offices are the governing authority, carrying out inter-agency work as part of a new policy implemented by the new government administration.

In this regard, the commission included the Director of Mining Police, under the Secretariat of Environmental Management and Mining Control, Roberto Luna, accompanied by the Coordinator of Veladero Mine and Lama Project, Guillermo Serafini, and technicians Marcelo Peñaloza and Nelson Páez; while the Hydraulic Directorate was represented by its head, Luis Ernesto Kulichevsky, along with Guadalupe López and Verónica Crescentino.

On this occasion, they received technical talks from professional staff from both complexes on water usage in the ventures, after which they toured the Veladero Leaching Valley, where they observed the assembly of leaching pads, membrane placement, and hoses; subsequently moving to the Lama Project where they inspected canal works, water intakes, the status of the "Marcelo" Tunnel, and the functioning of the Canito, Turbio, and Taguas rivers.
