Salta’s Secretariat of Mining has approved the Environmental Impact Report submitted by Mansfield Minera, enabling the company to advance new exploration activities at the Arizaro area, a satellite deposit of the Lindero project located in Argentina’s Puna region.

Through Resolution No. 008/26, the provincial mining authority authorized the continuation of exploration work at Arizaro, in parallel with ongoing production at Lindero. The decision supports the company’s technical strategy aimed at expanding mineral resources and extending the operational life of the mining complex.

Provincial officials stated that the environmental approval allows for deeper exploration at Arizaro and strengthens the integrated development plan of the project under Salta’s environmental regulatory framework.

Arizaro: A High-Potential Satellite Target

Mansfield Minera operates within the Ónix property, which hosts two gold-copper porphyry deposits: Lindero, currently in production, and Arizaro, located approximately 3.5 kilometers to the southeast.

Lindero commenced production activities in 2019, with first ore stacked on the leach pad in 2020 and doré production beginning the same year.

Geologically, the Arizaro deposit is dominated by a southwest-trending, non-outcropping diorite intrusion associated with moderate to strong mineralization. The system contains the majority of the current inferred mineral resource, estimated at 32.4 million tonnes grading 0.37 g/t gold, equivalent to 389,000 ounces of gold.

A second mineralization style has also been identified, linked to potassic-altered igneous breccias enriched in magnetite and trending north-south.

The company previously reported that regional geological mapping and rock chip sampling delineated a gold and copper anomaly extending approximately 2.5 kilometers along a southwest trend, related to the Arizaro porphyry system. Multiple fine quartz-magnetite veinlets were identified within a diorite intrusive body similar to that intercepted in drilling at the main deposit.

Operational Continuity and Regulatory Framework

Mansfield Minera is a subsidiary of Canada-based Fortuna Mining Corp. and operates Lindero as one of Salta’s principal producing metal mines.

With this approval, Salta continues to support projects that integrate active production with advanced exploration, reinforcing its positioning as a mining jurisdiction offering regulatory continuity and long-term investment predictability.
