Within the framework of San Juan International Mining Expo 2026**, Transportes Aconcagua** showcased a proposal that brought together logistics, culture, and national identity. The initiative, titled “A Legacy on Wheels,” transforms the company’s trucks into mobile spaces for historical dissemination through images of national heroes and emblematic Argentine personalities.

The Argentine company, founded in 1950 and specialized in logistics, storage, and national and international freight transportation, presented units wrapped with historical figures accompanied by QR codes that provide access to audiovisual content narrated by historian Felipe Pigna.

The initiative was promoted by Alejandro Galeano, CEO of Transportes Aconcagua, with the aim of creating a proposal that pays tribute to the men and women who contributed to the construction of Argentine identity, taking advantage of the federal reach of freight transportation and the constant circulation of trucks throughout the country’s highways.

The project includes images of traditional historical figures such as José de San Martín, Manuel Belgrano, Martín Miguel de Güemes, Facundo Quiroga, and Chacho Peñalosa, among other historical leaders.

It also incorporates personalities less familiar to younger generations, especially women who played significant roles at different moments in Argentine history, such as Manuela Pedraza, heroine of the British invasions; Juana Manso, an educational pioneer; and Macacha Güemes.

In addition to the national heroes associated with the independence struggles and the organization of the nation, the proposal also features figures such as René Favaloro, Carlos Gardel, and Perito Moreno, highlighting personalities who left a cultural, scientific, and social legacy in the country.

One of the main aspects of the project is the incorporation of interactive technology through QR codes placed on the trucks. By scanning them, users can access short videos on their phones in which Felipe Pigna explains various historical episodes and anecdotes.

During its participation at Expo San Juan Minera 2026, Transportes Aconcagua also focused on the projected growth of copper mining in Argentina and the logistical development that the industry will require in the coming years.

The company has more than two decades of experience linked to the mining sector and has developed, together with manufacturers such as Scania and Volvo, trucks specifically adapted to operate in high-altitude environments, low temperatures, and extremely demanding routes.

The company also highlighted its commitment to training specialized personnel and incorporating state-of-the-art technology for the transportation of materials, liquids, and equipment destined for mining operations.
