The mining relationship between Peru and Argentina is entering a pivotal phase. In the first four months of 2024, Peruvian exports of mining goods and services to the Argentine market reached USD 17.9 million, marking a 70% year-over-year increase, according to official data from PROMPERÚ. This growth reflects more than just numbers — it confirms the rise of a high-value technical-commercial partnership between two key mining players in South America.

A total of 51 Peruvian companies were involved in these exports, delivering over 80 product categories ranging from tanks, zinc condensation alloys and powders, to drilling machines and exploration components. This diversified portfolio directly addresses a critical need in the Argentine sector: adding experienced suppliers capable of keeping pace with the country’s mining expansion, with a focus on efficiency, reliability, and international standards.

With a pipeline of 187 mining projects, Argentina is actively working to attract foreign investment. Access to quality equipment, engineering, and technical services is essential to eliminating bottlenecks and improving operational competitiveness. In this scenario, Peru stands out as a regional supplier of choice, not only due to volume, but because of its technical specialization.

“Mining is part of Peru’s DNA. Our millennia-old mineral wealth has evolved into a modern, global industry, with companies offering high-level solutions developed under international standards and a strong results-oriented mindset,” said Silvia Seperack, Trade Counselor at PROMPERÚ in Argentina.

PERU TO SHOWCASE MINING SUPPLY CAPABILITIES AT ARMINERA 2025

This regional positioning will be on full display at Arminera 2025, Argentina’s leading mining event and one of Latin America’s most prominent trade fairs. From May 20–22, at La Rural (Buenos Aires), eight top-tier Peruvian companies specializing in mining supply will present a portfolio of high-value solutions, advanced technologies, and technical expertise.

The delegation includes industry leaders in various segments:

  • ARENAS S.R.L. – High-resistance screens and industrial ceramic coatings.

  • BOYLES BROS DIAMANTINA S.A. – Precision technology for geological exploration.

  • EYC METALIKAS S.A.C. – Custom metal-mechanical projects with complex engineering.

  • FUNDICIÓN FERROSA S.A.C. – High-performance cast parts in iron and steel.

  • HLC INGENIERÍA Y CONSTRUCCIÓN S.A.C. – Comprehensive services for plant design and operation.

  • KUNTUR PUMP S.A.C. – Industrial pumps engineered for dense fluids and critical processes.

  • TDM GEOSINTÉTICOS S.A. – Next-generation geomembranes and geocells.

  • TUMI CONTRATISTAS MINEROS S.A.C. – Raise boring and vertical drilling solutions with proprietary technology.

MORE THAN SUPPLIERS: PARTNERS FOR A NEW GENERATION OF REGIONAL MINING

Peru’s participation in Arminera 2025 is not a standalone action — it is part of a broader export strategy driven by PROMPERÚ, the national agency tasked with promoting international trade and building sustainable partnerships in key markets. In Argentina, this effort is already yielding measurable results, both in trade volume and technological collaboration.

For Argentine companies, the Peruvian delegation offers a unique opportunity to access proven technologies, expertise, and solutions tested across the region’s most demanding mining operations. For Peru, it’s a chance to solidify its standing as a reliable, specialized mining partner in one of South America’s most dynamic markets.
