In a brief statement released on the evening of Sunday, November 16, the company acknowledged the incident, noting that one of its warehouses was damaged. While the extent of the damage and the recovery timeline were not specified, the prompt communication was aimed at reassuring clients and strategic partners across the mining and industrial services sectors.
The company further stated that as of Monday, November 17, it would be “fully operational again from an alternate in-house distribution center,” ensuring the continuity of service and supply.
With over 30 years of experience supporting the Argentine mining sector, Larocca Minería expressed its gratitude to the fire department, civil defense, and law enforcement agencies “for managing the situation swiftly and professionally.” The company also reaffirmed its long-term commitment not only to clients, but also to the communities where it operates.
The fire, which left at least 24 people injured and affected several companies within the industrial hub, is currently under judicial investigation led by Prosecutor Florencia Belloc from UFI 1 of Ezeiza. Authorities have indicated that debris removal could take several months, and technical inspections will continue throughout the week to determine the origin and chain of responsibilities behind the incident.
The event impacted not only Larocca Minería, but also several other well-known companies located in the industrial park, including Logischem, Iron Mountain, Almacén de Frío, and Aditivos Alimentarios. Several of these facilities reported significant losses, and operations in the area are now subject to strict safety reviews and verification of regulatory compliance.
