In his inauguration speech, Cacciola emphasized the importance of strengthening dialogue and consensus-building spaces to advance toward the definitive consolidation of the mining sector as a whole. He also underscored the need to reach agreements on strategic issues for the industry, including glacier legislation, export duties and the development of local suppliers.

The new Board of Directors features a diverse composition that brings together producers, exploration companies, provincial mining chambers and service firms, reflecting the plurality of Argentina’s mining sector.

The presidency will continue to be held by Minera Santa Cruz S.A., represented by Roberto Cacciola. The vice presidencies will be held by Glencore Pachón S.A. (1st), Minera del Altiplano S.A. (2nd), Argentina Fortescue S.A.U. (3rd), CEMINCOR (4th), Corriente Argentina S.A. (5th) and Andes Corporación Minera S.A. (6th).

The Secretariat will be led by Eramine Sudamérica S.A. (Secretary) and Minera Don Nicolás S.A. (Deputy Secretary). The Treasury will be held by the Cámara Minera de Jujuy, with Mansfield Minera S.A. as Deputy Treasurer.

As regular board members, the following companies have joined: Minera Exar S.A., Cámara Minera de San Juan, Pampa Exploración S.A. (NGX Minerals), Potassium S.A., Estelar Resources S.A., CEFAS S.A., Cámara de la Minería de Salta, Central Puerto S.A., Cámara de la Piedra de Buenos Aires, Albemarle Argentina S.R.L. and Abraplata Argentina S.A.

The alternate board members include Minas Argentinas S.A., Austral Gold Argentina S.A. and Litio Minera Argentina S.A.

The Audit Committee will be composed of Price Waterhouse & Co. Asesores de Empresas S.R.L. and KPMG as regular members, and Compañía Minera Piuquenes S.A. and Sales de Jujuy S.A. as alternates.

This leadership renewal takes place at a pivotal moment for Argentina’s mining sector, marked by regulatory debates, competitiveness challenges and the development of a new phase of productive growth.
