General Information

Description

• The company uses a proprietary form of Direct Lithium Extraction (DLE) technology. As of 2025, the company had 28,000 metric tons of lithium carbonate capacity on site, and 9,000 product metric tons of lithium chloride capacity at Güemes, in Salta Province. • The company is undergoing several phased expansions: (1A expansion (+10ktpa) reached full run rate in 2024) / (Ongoing Expansion 1B: 10ktpa Carbonate – CAPEX: US$700 Million / Project is mechanically complete with commissioning at 60%) / (Planned first production: First Half 2026)

Processing

The brine from the Salar del Hombre Muerto is fed to a Selective Adsorption Plant, which operates with its own technology. The product of this plant is a brine rich and concentrated in lithium and with a very low amount of impurities. This brine is then concentrated using two processes: solar evaporation (pools) and mechanical evaporator (MVR) until it reaches the level of lithium concentration required to feed the Lithium Carbonate Plants , located in the Fénix project (Salar del Hombre Muerto) and then, with a higher concentration, sent to Güemes, in the province of Salta, where Lithium Chloride is produced.

Average Annual Production

32,000 Tn of Lithium Corbonate
