The San Juan Mining Chamber (CMSJ) has appointed its new Board of Directors for the 2025–2027 term, following the institution’s General Assembly held this Monday. The meeting also included the formal approval of the previous term’s financial statements and management performance.

Iván Grgic, representing Vicuña Argentina S.A.—the company leading development of the Josemaría copper project—will serve as president. The board also includes Analía García (Minera Andina del Sol) as vice president, Raúl Cabanay (Caleras San Juan) as executive secretary, and Rubén Femenia (Casposo Argentina LTD.) as treasurer.

Additional board members include executives from a range of mining operations in the province: Michael Meding (Andes Corporación Minera), Jorge Sausset (Glencore Pachón), Marcelo Agulles (Minas Argentinas), Javier Robeto (Minera Peregrine Argentina), Santiago Dapelo (Argentina Fortescue), Iván Chávez (Pampa Exploraciones), Germán Moreno (Calidra/Cefas), and Sonia Delgado (Golden Mining).

Speaking after the appointment, Grgic emphasized the importance of building on the Chamber’s institutional foundations: “We begin this new term with a deep appreciation for the work done by previous boards, which have helped shape a stronger mining vision for San Juan. Our focus now is to keep momentum going—translating project milestones into real opportunities for employment, growth, and broad-based development across the province.”

The CMSJ represents companies with projects ranging from early exploration to active production, and plays a key role in shaping public policy dialogue, institutional engagement, and supplier development in San Juan’s mining ecosystem.
