The Cookins Cooking School is an initiative jointly developed by the Municipality of Iglesia, the Ministry of Production, Labor and Innovation of San Juan, and the company. The program is based on a model that prioritizes hiring teachers and suppliers from the department itself, ensuring that the economic and social impact of the initiative remains within the community.
The ceremony was attended by Minister of Production Gustavo Fernández; Secretary of Industry and Commerce Alejandro Martín; Secretary of Coordination for Economic Development Alfredo Aciar; and Director of Employment and Training Luciana Cuk.
Representing the Municipality of Iglesia were Mayor Jorge Espejo; Secretary of Education, Communication and Protocol Eugenia Rocha; Director of Education and Local Development Juan Cuevas; Secretary of Mining Denis Monardez; and Secretary of Government Alfredo Espejo.
Marcelo Agudo, President of the Iglesia Deliberative Council, was also present. Representing Cookins Cooking School were Gastón Berardi, Director of Institutional Relations; Santiago García Piccatti, Commercial Executive; and Fernando Pacheco Martel, from CSR.
During the event, Gustavo Fernández highlighted the company’s sustained commitment to the province and emphasized that the initiative goes beyond productive activity. “As Gastón Berardi rightly mentioned, Cookins currently has no contracts in the province and, nevertheless, for more than a year it has been investing in San Juan through social investment and community development programs, promoting activities such as this one,” he stated.
The training is part of a strategy aimed at strengthening local capabilities and expanding job placement opportunities in Iglesia through programs linked to regional gastronomy and tourism development.
