The event brought together a broad spectrum of the mining community, including industry leaders, academics, businesspeople, lawmakers, and officials from various jurisdictions across the country. Its central aim was to discuss key pillars such as innovation, investment, automation, and sustainability within the mining sector.

The delegation from Catamarca was represented by Yesica Yornet, Provincial Director of Social Promotion and Mining Responsibility. During her participation, Yornet joined the panel titled "The Future of Mining: Transport, Operations, and Financing," where she focused on the tangible benefits that mining has brought to the province.

Within this context, Yornet highlighted the significant development of road infrastructure throughout the province—an outcome directly linked to the resources generated by mining activity. This point underscores how the efficient management of sector revenues translates into essential public works that enhance connectivity and drive regional development.

In addition to infrastructure achievements, Catamarca's representative emphasized the provincial government's ongoing efforts to ensure the social and environmental sustainability of mining projects. She also underscored the importance of governance and state oversight as key elements in guaranteeing responsible and transparent development within the industry.

The seminar, which opened with remarks from Ambassador Torsten Ericsson—who highlighted Sweden's mining legacy and its role as a foundation for industrial development—served as a strategic platform for Catamarca to share its vision of a modern, responsible mining sector that drives progress, reaffirming the province’s commitment to an industry it sees as vital to its economic and social future.
