On August 4–5, the province of San Juan will host Argentina Copper 2025, an international conference that will bring together top public and private leaders from the mining sector to discuss one of the most strategic topics of the decade: copper’s role in the energy transition and the new global economic order.

Organized by Panorama Minero, the event is expected to gather between 600 and 900 participants, including national authorities, governors from mining provinces, diplomatic representatives, executives from operating and supply companies, investors, multilateral organizations, and international analysts.

The conference will feature keynote talks, institutional panels, networking sessions, and parallel activities, aiming to further consolidate itself as a public-private platform for the development of Argentina’s copper mining industry.

“Today, copper is the most watched metal in the world, and we believe the discussions at Argentina Copper will be key to shaping the country’s strategic positioning,” said the organizers.

A strategic stage for the future of Argentine copper

Argentina Copper 2025 will welcome national government officials, foreign delegations, provincial leaders, multilateral institutions, and business executives, in a context where copper is becoming a critical input for the global energy transition agenda.

The event will tackle key issues for the sector’s development: financing, regulation and governance, supply security, regional integration, international cooperation, technology, environmental sustainability, water management, and long-term strategies in areas such as infrastructure.

As global copper demand continues to rise, Argentina is working to attract investment that will bring its project portfolio to life—particularly in the provinces of San Juan, Catamarca, Mendoza, Salta, and Jujuy, which have the potential to join global supply chains before the end of the decade.

A high-level conference for the copper industry

Argentina Copper 2025 is designed to foster strategic dialogue, technical exchange, and consensus-building. Across two days, the agenda will include thematic sessions, high-level institutional meetings, side events focused on sustainability and innovation, and a special day dedicated to supplier development.

The presence of international media, embassies, business chambers, development agencies, investment funds, academic institutions, and representatives from organizations such as the IDB, the European Union, the World Bank, CAF, the UN, OAS, and ECLAC underscores the global scope of the event.

“Argentina has a real opportunity to position itself as a new player in the copper industry, and this conference is where that potential starts to become a roadmap,” the organizers concluded.
