Description
Progressing Fénix 1B expansion sequentially following Sal de Vida Stage 1 completion.
Processing
The brine is sent to evaporation ponds and then passes through a liming stage. Once brine completes the concentration process and reaches the right lithium level, it is sent to an impurites removal stage. Afterwards, process is completed with the precipitation of the lithium carbonate and the subsequent steps of separation, drying and bagging.
Average Annual Production
- Stage I: 15,000 Tons of Lithium Carbonate per year;
Resources & Reserves
- Proven and Probable Reserves: 2.46 Mt LCE
- Total Resources: 7.16 Mt LCE
Additional Comments
The brine used in the project has superior chemistry and low levels of impurities, making it one of the highest quality brines in the world. Its simple, internally developed flow chart uses mature technology and is characterized by low energy and water consumption to produce battery-grade lithium carbonate safely and sustainably.
