Description of the company
EXAR is an Argentine company formed by Ganfeng Lithium, Lithium Argentina and Jujuy Energía y Minería Sociedad del Estado (JEMSE). It develops and produces lithium carbonate at the Cauchari-Olaroz Salt Flat in Jujuy Province, Argentina, where the "Cauchari-Olaroz Plant" is located.
In 2024, the company became Argentina's largest lithium carbonate producer, surpassing 25,000 t. In 2025, it reached another milestone, exceeding 34,000 t of annual output. For 2026, EXAR is targeting production of 35,000 to 38,000 t. EXAR has an installed capacity of up to 40,000 t and creates more than 2,000 direct and indirect jobs.
