VELADERO

Veladero is a gold and silver mine located in the province of San Juan, Argentina, at an altitude ranging from 4,000 to 4,850 meters above sea level. We are a joint venture between Barrick and Shandong Gold. Since the start of operations in 2005, Veladero has surpassed $10 billion in goods and services, taxes, and wages paid in Argentina. We have recently extended the project's duration beyond 2030 through a series of investments in infrastructure and exploration. Our mission is to be a world-class gold mine, with a hazard-free working environment and fully committed workers, creating long-term value for our partners and communities.
