Description of the company
Aldebaran is a mining exploration company that emerged in 2018 from a Spin-Out of Regulus Resources Inc. In October 2018, it announced a Joint Venture agreement with Sibanye-Stillwater to explore and gain participation in the copper and gold porphyry project Altar, located in the province of San Juan.
In August 2023, Aldebaran fulfilled commitments and acquired a 60% stake in the Altar project, and is currently investing an additional $25 million to acquire an additional 20% stake in Altar.
In March 2021, the Company announced a mineral resource estimate based on drilling completed up to and including 2020.
During the 2023-2024 campaign, 20,000 meters have been drilled. With the data obtained, progress will be made towards a new update of mineral resources by the end of 2024. Based on this, progress will be made towards a Preliminary Economic Assessment of Altar by mid-2025.
This document will help size and contextualize the project, allowing progress towards an Economic Prefeasibility by the end of 2026.
