The development of local skilled labor continues to consolidate as one of the pillars supporting the growth of mining activity in Salta's Puna region. In this context, JSC Soluciones Integrales presented the 2026 academic cycle of its Escuelas JSC Puna Gastronomy Program, a free training initiative that will expand its geographic reach this year by incorporating new communities.
The launch took place in the city of Salta and brought together provincial authorities, representatives of Indigenous communities, educational institutions and stakeholders linked to the mining sector. Among those attending were Salta's Secretary of Mining, Gustavo Carrizo; the Mayor of Tolar Grande, Sergio Villanueva; and representatives from the communities of Olacapato, Tolar Grande, Salar de Pocitos and Santa Rosa de los Pastos Grandes.
Beginning in August, the program will be delivered through intensive training sessions in Olacapato, Tolar Grande, Santa Rosa de los Pastos Grandes and Salar de Pocitos, while continuing in San Antonio de los Cobres. The objective is to facilitate access to professional training without requiring participants to leave their communities.
The Escuelas JSC Puna program has been operating since 2018 and, according to the company, more than 200 students have completed their training during that period. The initiative is carried out in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Culture and the Undersecretariat of Education and Employment of the Province of Salta, allowing graduates to obtain officially recognized qualifications with national validity.
Graduates from previous editions held in San Antonio de los Cobres and General Güemes also participated in the presentation, sharing their experiences after completing the program.
JSC Soluciones Integrales is a Salta-based company registered in the Provincial Registry of Local Mining Suppliers. Its services include catering, hospitality, cleaning, laundry, maintenance, modular accommodation and project management for mining operations.
