Genneia is the leading provider of sustainable energy solutions in Argentina, accounting for 23% of the country’s total installed capacity, representing 21% of wind energy capacity and 26% of solar energy capacity. The company operates 8 wind farms—Rawson, Trelew, Madryn, Chubut Norte, Villalonga, Pomona, Necochea, and La Elbita—and 6 solar parks—Ullum, Sierras de Ullum, Tocota III, Malargüe I, Anchoris, and San Rafael. With these assets, Genneia has increased its total renewable energy capacity to more than 1,580 MW, marking an unprecedented milestone in Argentina’s energy landscape.
Currently, Genneia is advancing the construction of the San Juan Sur Solar Park, with a capacity of 129 MW, located in the province of San Juan. In addition, the company is developing two solar parks in Buenos Aires Province, in Lincoln and Junín (40 MW in total), as well as its first energy storage project, aimed at meeting demand during peak consumption periods.
Through the generation of clean, efficient, and competitive energy, Genneia supplies more than 100 corporate clients across various industries, helping them reduce their carbon footprint through contracts in the MATER market. At the same time, the company continues to strengthen its position as Argentina’s leading issuer of green bonds, with more than US$1.28 billion issued to date, and projects exceeding 1.7 GW of installed renewable capacity by 2026, further consolidating its leadership in renewable energy generation in the country.
